Buyer Setup Guide

Everything you need to go from purchase to live in under 30 minutes.

Welcome! This guide is for the person who just bought this template. It walks you through rebranding, connecting your tools, and going live. For day-to-day usage instructions, see the Help Center.
STEP 1

Rebrand Your App

Go to Settings → Branding to set your company name, upload your logo, and pick your brand colors. Changes apply across the sidebar, mobile top bar, and all UI surfaces.

Takes 2 minutes. No code changes needed.

STEP 2

Load Sample Data (Optional)

Go to the Dashboard and click "Load Sample Data" if your workspace is empty. This populates demo products, customers, leads, and orders so you can explore and take screenshots before going live.

Use the Reset button on the Dashboard to wipe all sample data and start from a clean slate. Settings and user accounts are preserved.

STEP 3

Connect Your Apollo API Key

Apollo.io powers the lead import and contact enrichment features. Without it, you can still add leads manually or via CSV.

  1. Create an account at app.apollo.io (free tier works).
  2. Go to Settings → Integrations → API Keys and copy your key.
  3. In this app's builder, go to Settings → Secrets and add it as APOLLO_API_KEY.
  4. Publish (or re-publish) the app so the key takes effect.
STEP 4

Connect Google Calendar (Optional)

Each sales rep can sync scheduled follow-up calls to their own Google Calendar. This uses per-rep connections — no shared account needed.

  1. In Google Cloud Console, enable the Google Calendar API and create an OAuth client ID (Web application).
  2. In this app, go to Settings → OAuth Connectors → Register connector, choose googlecalendar, and paste your credentials.
  3. Copy the generated Connector ID into src/lib/googleCalendarConfig.js.
  4. Publish the app. Each rep then clicks "Connect Google Calendar" on the Follow-Up Dashboard.
STEP 5

Invite Your Team

Go to Settings → Users in the builder and invite your sales reps and ops staff. Assign admin to anyone who should create/edit records; user for view-only access.

Only admins can create, update, or delete records. All authenticated users can read.

STEP 6

Turn On Automations (When Ready)

Several automations are paused by default so a fresh install doesn't burn credits. Once your leads are in and your team is set up, enable them in Settings → Automations:

  • Auto-Enrich New Leads — fills missing contact info via Apollo.
  • Stale Lead Follow-Up Sequence — sends AI follow-up emails to inactive leads.
  • Daily Follow-Up Summary Email — emails admins a prioritized call list each morning.
Important: The built-in email integration only delivers to registered app users, not external lead addresses. To send outreach emails to leads, connect an external email provider (Resend, SendGrid) via a backend function.
STEP 7

Go Live

You're ready! Import your first batch of leads from one target market, verify contact info on your top 5 A-grade leads, and start scheduling intro calls.
